Overview
We are seeking a hands-on and motivated Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations on the production line in our food manufacturing plant. This role is responsible for coordinating and guiding a team of production workers to achieve production targets, maintain food safety and quality standards, and ensure smooth workflow. The Team Leader is expected to participate in practical production activities actively.
Duties
- Lead, coordinate, and monitor the activities of production line workers to ensure daily production quotas are met on schedule and in compliance with quality standards.
- Train and supervise production line workers to ensure all work is performed in accordance with established operational procedures, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
- Actively participate in production tasks (e.g., packaging, assembly) as required.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety (HACCP, GMP) and occupational health and safety (OHSA) standards, and workplace safety regulations.
- Monitor equipment operation and promptly report any issues or maintenance needs.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve quality.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, including output, downtime, and quality checks.
- Perform other duties assigned by management.
Skills
- Post-secondary education or equivalent learning in business, economics, mathematics, or related areas.
- Fluency in English; Speaking Chinese will be a strong advantage.
- Communicate effectively across teams and functions to resolve issues.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, handling pressure with resilience, maintaining quality and efficiency.
- Stay organized, calm, and efficient when responding to urgent priorities and operational challenges.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and overtime as required.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and low temperatures.
- Physically capable of lifting, standing for long periods, and working in confined spaces.
- Quick learner and excellent communication skills.
