Aspire Richmond is looking for compassionate, experienced Home Share Providers (on Contract) who want to make a meaningful difference right from their own home. What is a Home Share Provider?
Home Share Providers provide safe and welcoming homes to people who require additional support to live in their community. These supports may include companionship, daily living tasks, accessing community activities and resources, and personal care. Prospective Home Share Providers should have a separate suite or bedroom to welcome an individual with a disability into their home.
Requirements:
· Must be a permanent resident in Canada or possess Canadian citizenship
- Must be over 19 years of age and go through a screening process
- Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities (preferred but not required)
- Ability to share their home with a person with a disability
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Willingness to complete training and meet contract requirements
- Willing to obtain the following:
o Emergency First Aid and CPR
o A clear criminal record check
o A Valid BC Driver's License, and a driver's abstract from ICBC
