Position Overview: As a Methods Programming Agent in the Aerospace Industry, you will be responsible for developing and implementing programming methods and procedures for manufacturing processes within the aerospace industry. This role requires a strong understanding of aerospace manufacturing techniques, CAD/CAM software proficiency, and the ability to optimize manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement programming methods for CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines used in aerospace manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to understand manufacturing requirements and develop programming solutions to meet those needs.
- Utilize CAD/CAM software to generate toolpaths, program CNC machines, and simulate machining operations.
- Optimize machining processes to improve efficiency, reduce cycle times, and minimize waste.
- Create and maintain documentation for programming methods, including process instructions, tooling specifications, and quality standards.
- Perform troubleshooting and debugging of CNC programs to ensure accurate and reliable machining operations.
- Stay updated on advancements in machining technology and software tools, and incorporate new techniques and methodologies as appropriate.
- Provide training and support to production personnel on programming methods and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in methods programming for CNC machining, preferably within the aerospace industry.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software such as CATIA, Siemens NX, or Mastercam.
- Strong understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes, materials, and specifications.
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, such as AS9100 and NADCAP, is desirable.
- Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and learn new technologies as needed.

- Applicants will be screened for the requirements of Canadian Controlled Goods Program and must pass relevant criminal background checks.
- Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to work primarily in an office environment where employees will be required to sit and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods of time.
- Compliance with proper use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when working in or travelling through an environment requiring strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Able to work as part of a small team in a fast paced, dynamic work environment.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
