Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Metal Roofer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining metal roofing systems on residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. This role requires a strong understanding of roofing techniques, safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Prior experience in construction or carpentry is highly valued, along with a keen attention to detail and physical stamina.
Duties
- Measure and cut metal roofing materials using hand tools and power equipment
- Install metal roofing panels according to project specifications and blueprints
- Perform repairs and maintenance on existing roofing systems
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation
- Use caulking tools to seal joints and prevent leaks
- Handle heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes
- Assist with other construction tasks as needed, including general handyman duties
- Maintain a clean and organized work site throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements
- Proven experience with hand tools, construction, carpentry, or handyman work preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Experience with caulking, heavy lifting, and working at heights is desirable
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures related to roofing and construction sites
- Physical strength and stamina to perform heavy lifting and work on scaffolding or roofs for extended periods
- Ability to work in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
- Prior experience in roofing or related trades is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
