Key Information:

Hours: Based on a 40-hour work week; however, overtime is required during the busy season

Must be willing to work evenings and weekends.

Job description:
-
Operating RTK GPS equipment (Experience with Topcon is considered an asset) on civil/heavy industrial jobsites.

Reading survey stakes to determine grade specification.
-
Performing topographic surveys to determine volume quantities for progress billing and performing as built surveys.

Calculating given elevations/measurements from drawings and perform layout.

Comprehending blueprint readings to prepare layouts and do as-builts of the following, but not limited to: excavation limits for shallow foundations, concrete pour heights, concrete/foundation corners, concrete embeds and anchors, and underground piping locations.r safety
Experience and certification requirements:

Geomatics/Survey Technology Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution or equivalent required.

5 years of survey experience in construction layout services, topographic surveys, control surveys, and as built surveys on heavy civil / industrial jobsites required.

Must have previous surveying experience working with AutoCAD programs and Civil 3D.

Proficient with RTK GPS, rod and level, laser level, machine control and robotic total station measuring equipment.

CSTS 2020, and WHMIS 2015 are required.

A valid drivers license (class 5) required.

A reliable means of transportation is required.

Proficient English language skills required.
Education: Geomatics/Survey Technology Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution or equivalent.
