Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Earthworks Foreman to oversee and manage earthmoving projects within our construction operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive experience in construction management, and proficiency with industry-standard software. This role involves supervising field crews, ensuring project quality, and maintaining adherence to safety and budget standards. The Earthworks Supervisor will play a critical role in coordinating activities from planning through execution, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to client specifications.
Duties
- Lead and supervise earthworks crews, ensuring safety protocols and project timelines are met
- Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to guide project execution
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, and Primavera P6 for project scheduling, documentation, and communication
- Oversee quality control processes to ensure work meets industry standards and client expectations
- Manage project budgets, track expenses, and perform construction estimating to stay within financial parameters
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
- Conduct site inspections regularly to monitor progress and address any issues promptly
- Implement best practices for construction safety and environmental compliance
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience in earthworks or general construction projects
- Strong knowledge of construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, and other relevant tools
- Expertise in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating
- Familiarity with quality control procedures and budgeting processes in a construction setting
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to coordinate multiple teams effectively
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with clients, team members, and stakeholders
- Relevant certifications or training in construction management or related fields preferred
