Job Overview
We are seeking skilled and dedicated Journeyman and Apprentice Scaffolders to join our team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for assembling, installing, and dismantling scaffolding structures on various projects. This role requires a strong understanding of construction safety protocols, technical skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a team environment. Prior experience with blueprint reading and various construction techniques is highly valued. This job will be at a camp location in Northern Ontario with meals and accommodations provided. Pay $35-$50/hr based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine scaffold layout and specifications.
- Assemble, install, modify, and dismantle scaffolding structures according to safety standards and project requirements.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and effectively during scaffold construction.
- Ensure all scaffolding components are properly secured and stable before use.
- Collaborate with other trades to facilitate project progress.
- Conduct regular inspections of scaffolding for safety hazards or defects and perform necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Maintain a clean work area and adhere to all safety protocols throughout the project lifecycle.
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding schematics for accurate scaffold assembly.
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and construction techniques.
- Strong safety awareness with the ability to identify potential hazards on-site.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse crew members.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and work at heights safely. Candidates should be committed to safety standards and quality workmanship to ensure successful project completion.
Pay: $35.00-$50.00 per hour
