M&G Millwrights is hiring an experienced Custom Fabricator/Welder to join our fabrication team on the day shift. This full-time, permanent, shop-based role is ideal for someone who takes pride in high-quality workmanship, enjoys custom fabrication, and wants to contribute to practical, well-built solutions for industrial projects.

What you’ll do
In this role, you will:
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, work orders, and sample parts to understand project requirements and plan fabrication work.
- Lay out, measure, mark, align, fit, and assemble parts, sub-assemblies, and complete units using plate and structural shapes.
- Weld, grind, repair, and finish fabricated components while producing high-quality parts efficiently and safely.
- Use material handling, rigging, hoisting, lifting equipment, and appropriate welding methods to complete work safely and meet project deadlines.
What we’re looking for:
- 4+ years’ experience as a custom fabricator/welder, including MIG welding with light and heavy gauge steel.
- Strong math, analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Current CWB tickets are an asset, including GMAW and FCAW.
Schedule and work environment:
- Working in the shop at 1540 Floradale Road, Elmira
- Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
- 44-hour work week with occasional overtime required to support project deadlines
- Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, bend, and crouch
How to apply
This is a Permanent Fulltime position to fill a current vacancy. A work week consists of 44 hours. Overtime is required occasionally. Compensation is based on experience and ability. The range is $28-34/hour.
