Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Heavy Duty Loader to join our warehousing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, including loaders., forklifts, reach truck, and pallet jack. This role requires physical strength, attention to safety, and the ability to work with various types of heavy machinery. The Heavy Duty Loader plays a crucial part in maintaining a clean and organized work environment while ensuring timely material handling.
Duties
- Operate loader equipment, including forklifts, reach truck and pallet jack, to load, unload, and transport materials within the facility
- Use forklifts and other heavy machinery safely to move large quantities of materials or products
- Perform heavy lifting tasks regularly, ensuring proper techniques to prevent injury
- Assist in the cleaning and sanitation of work areas, equipment, and surrounding environments to maintain safety standards
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment before use and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns
- Support manufacturing processes by efficiently managing material flow and inventory movement
- Maintain a clean work environment by adhering to sanitation protocols and organizational standards
Experience
- Prior experience operating loaders, excavators, forklifts, or other heavy equipment is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial settings is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively with proper technique
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and sanitation practices
- Physical ability to perform demanding tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting heavy loads, and working in various environmental conditions
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
