Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dental Office Front Desk and Treatment Coordinator to join our professional dental team. This role is vital in ensuring smooth daily operations of the dental practice, providing exceptional patient service, and supporting clinical staff. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, familiarity with dental software, and a friendly, organized demeanor. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and manage front desk operations efficiently
- Schedule appointments and confirm patient visits using dental practice management software such as Maxident, Dentrix Etc.
- Maintain accurate patient records within electronic dental records systems
- Handle phone systems to answer inquiries, schedule appointments, and relay messages
- Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, including insurance verification and payment processing
- Manage administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence
- Support clinical staff by preparing treatment rooms and managing patient flow
- Ensure the reception area remains clean, organized, and welcoming
- Able to explain the treatment plan to patients and ensuring they accept the same.
- Ensure that Dentist and Hygiene appointments are adequately booked and there are minimal cancellation.
- Able to fill in the schedule if there is a last minute cancellation.
- To prepare and send Pre Determinations to insurance company in timely manner and follow up for the approval.
- Able to come up and share marketing ideas or campaigns.
Requirements
- Previous 3 to 5 years experience as a dental receptionist/ treatment coordinator or in a dental office environment is highly preferred
- Familiarity with dental software such as Maxident is a plus
- Knowledge of dental terminology relevant to dentistry and healthcare documentation
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and scheduling
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and team members
- Proficiency with electronic dental records systems and multi-line phone systems
- Office experience in a Dental office setting is a must.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and compassion
- Proficiency in English language
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $17.20-$29.10 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
