About the Opportunity
Our public sector client is seeking a Senior Advisor to provide strategic guidance and executive-level project management expertise in support of a large-scale enterprise wireless modernization initiative.
This position will support senior leadership by providing advice, governance, stakeholder engagement, and project oversight throughout the planning and implementation of a complex enterprise technology program. The successful consultant will work closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and senior executives to ensure project objectives are achieved while supporting organizational priorities.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Provide strategic advice and recommendations to senior leadership on enterprise technology initiatives
Lead and coordinate project planning activities for complex Government of Canada IT projects
Develop executive briefings, presentations, reports, and status updates
Coordinate activities with internal stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners
Identify, monitor, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies
Support project governance, decision making, and executive committees
Facilitate meetings, workshops, and stakeholder consultations
Monitor project progress and recommend corrective actions where necessary
Ensure project activities align with departmental priorities and Government of Canada policies and processes
Perform additional advisory and project management duties as required
About You
The successful candidate will have the following:
A university degree or combination of education, training, and relevant experience
A minimum of 10 years of experience supporting large-scale Government of Canada projects valued at over $20 million
A minimum of 10 years of experience working within Government of Canada culture and processes
Extensive experience providing strategic advice to senior executives
Demonstrated experience managing or advising enterprise technology initiatives within the federal government
Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and communication skills
Experience preparing executive briefings, reports, and presentations
Knowledge of Government of Canada governance and project management practices
Professional certifications such as PMP, ITIL, Agile, or equivalent are considered assets
English Essential with advanced oral, reading, and writing proficiency
Have a valid Reliability Level security clearance
