Are you friendly, organized, dependable, and happiest when helping people? Pender Harbour Resort & Marina is looking for a part-time Front Desk Associate to join our welcoming waterfront team.
This is a year-round position offering approximately two shifts per week—primarily Sundays and Mondays—from fall through spring. During our peak season from May through September, the position will expand to include additional afternoon and evening shifts.
What You’ll Do
- Welcome guests and assist with check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and general inquiries
- Ensure guest and reservation information is recorded accurately
- Answer phone calls and respond to guest questions in a friendly and professional manner
- Process reservation changes, cancellations, and payments
- Share information about resort amenities, local attractions, and dining options
- Operate the resort store, process purchases, and assist with restocking
- Respond calmly and professionally to guest concerns, resolving or escalating them as appropriate
- Complete light office and administrative tasks
- Keep the front desk and store area clean, organized, and welcoming
- Support other resort operations as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Friendly, professional, and comfortable interacting with a wide variety of guests
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently
- Organized and able to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail
- Comfortable using computers and learning reservation systems—we will provide training
- Previous hospitality, front desk, retail, or customer service experience is preferred
- Experience handling cash and using a point-of-sale system is an asset
- Available to work Sundays and Mondays, with additional afternoon and evening availability during our peak season from May through September
