Join our team and what we'll accomplish together
At TELUS Health, we're transforming how organizations manage retirement and benefits for their employees. Our Retirement & Benefit Solutions team partners with leading Canadian and US companies to implement and modernize Defined Benefit pension, Defined Contribution pension, and Health & Welfare benefits administration platforms.
As a Project Manager, you'll be the connective tissue that keeps our implementation projects on track. You'll work directly with a senior project lead to coordinate complex, multi-team delivery initiatives—helping ensure that our clients successfully transition to modern benefits platforms while our internal teams stay aligned, informed, and empowered to do their best work.
This role sits at the intersection of technology, operations, and client success. You'll see your impact immediately—from the moment you help organize a kickoff meeting to the day a client goes live on their new platform. You'll also have the opportunity to modernize how we work by exploring Agile and DevOps practices, and by leveraging AI tools to streamline reporting and documentation.
If you're organized, detail-oriented, and energized by keeping teams moving forward together, this could be the right fit.
Day-to-day, you'll:
Coordinate implementation delivery across cross-functional teams (Configuration, Data, QA, Product, Development, Integration, Operations, and client stakeholders), keeping everyone aligned on scope, schedule, and milestones
Own project tracking and reporting—creating and maintaining detailed plans, action logs, risk/issue/dependency (RAID) logs, milestone trackers, and status materials that inform leadership and clients
Facilitate working sessions and team meetings, document decisions and action items, and follow up to ensure accountability
Spot risks and dependencies early and partner with senior leaders on mitigation strategies
Prepare client-facing status updates, deliverable tracklists, meeting materials, and follow-up communications—helping maintain strong client relationships and confidence
Support hands-on delivery activities: plan configuration, eligibility rules, enrollment processes, contributions, data migration, systems testing, interfaces, and operational readiness
Uphold PMO governance by applying templates and standards consistently across all projects
Experiment with modern delivery practices (Agile, DevOps, CI/CD) to improve how our teams plan and execute
Use AI tools and copilots to boost your own productivity—drafting meeting notes, summarizing actions, writing status reports, and handling routine communications more efficiently
Contribute ideas to improve how we deliver, report on progress, and work as a team
This role is about solving puzzles. You'll manage multiple dependencies across teams, navigate complexity, and create clarity in situations where there are lots of moving pieces. You'll also be a trusted point of contact for both internal teams and clients who need someone they can rely on.
To succeed, you'll have:
2–3 years of project management experience, ideally supporting:
Defined Benefit pension, Defined Contribution pension, or benefits administration implementations
Benefits technology or software implementations
Client-facing implementation projects
Foundational knowledge of project delivery methodologies—Waterfall, Agile, hybrid, or a mix of approaches
Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Hands-on experience with project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms
Practical awareness of pension and benefits concepts like plan rules, eligibility, enrollment, contributions, data exchange, interfaces, testing, and go-live readiness
Comfort using generative AI and automation tools to improve your own productivity, documentation, project tracking, and reporting
It's a bonus if you have:
Experience supporting Defined Benefit, Defined Contribution, or Health & Welfare benefits implementation projects
French language skills or experience supporting French-speaking clients and teams
Hands-on involvement in platform implementations, client onboarding, annual/open enrollment cycles, data migration, or testing activities
PMP certification (or you're working toward it)
Above all: You're organized, proactive, detail-minded, and energized by keeping teams aligned and moving forward. You communicate clearly, take initiative to solve problems, and genuinely enjoy coordinating complex work across multiple groups.
Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000
