Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced log truck Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves safely operating commercial vehicles to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high safety standards. Duties
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight to designated locations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transportation activities
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding delivery schedules and issues
Experience
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Prior experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or related fields preferred
- Knowledge of automotive repair or basic vehicle maintenance is advantageous
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate record keeping
- Proven ability to follow safety procedures and maintain professionalism on the road
