Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling according to breed standards and customer preferences
- Assess each pet’s coat, skin, and overall health to recommend appropriate grooming treatments
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and in excellent condition
- Communicate clearly with pet owners to understand their grooming requests and provide professional advice on pet care
- Handle pets gently and confidently to ensure a safe, stress-free grooming experience for both animals and staff
- Keep detailed records of grooming services provided, including special instructions or health concerns
- Stay updated on the latest grooming techniques, breed standards, and safety protocols to deliver top-quality care
Qualifications
- 2 years Professional dog grooming experience is required
- Cat grooming experience is preferred
- Strong understanding of different coat types, breeds, and grooming styles
- Ability to handle animals with patience, compassion, and confidence
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to animal handling and grooming tools
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with energy and enthusiasm
