ABA Supervised Clinical Lead / Float
Autism Behavioural Services Inc. is seeking an experienced and motivated Supervised Clinical Lead / Float to join our team. This role is ideal for an experienced ABA clinician who enjoys a dynamic position that combines direct clinical work, leadership, mentoring, and operational support.
The Supervised Clinical Lead / Float provides clinical coverage across clients and programs, supports day-to-day operations, mentors staff, and assists with assessments, clinical programming, and service delivery.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our team of Behaviour Analysts to support the delivery of high-quality ABA services. Clinical responsibilities will be assigned based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and scope of practice, and completed under appropriate clinical supervision in accordance with the standards of the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO), where required.
Responsibilities
Leadership
- Provide day-to-day clinical guidance, mentorship, and support to Supervised Instructor Therapists within the candidate's scope of practice.
- Model best practices in the implementation of ABA services.
- Support staff training, coaching, and ongoing skill development.
- Conduct treatment integrity checks and provide clinical feedback under appropriate clinical supervision.
- Monitor client progress and collaborate with the Behaviour Analyst team regarding clinical recommendations.
- Participate in caregiver, staff, and interdisciplinary meetings, as appropriate.
Assessment & Programming
- Conduct behavioural assessments (e.g., VBMAPP, ABLLS-R, AFLS, Functional Behaviour Assessments) under appropriate clinical supervision.
- Assist with the development, implementation, and revision of skill acquisition and behaviour support programming.
- Review, summarize, and interpret clinical data to support clinical decision-making.
- Assist with report writing and clinical documentation.
- Provide caregiver, staff, and professional training under appropriate clinical supervision, where applicable.
Float Coverage
- Provide direct clinical coverage for staff absences, vacations, scheduling gaps, and emerging operational needs.
- Support a variety of clients across age groups, skill levels, service models, and locations.
- Adapt to changing clinical priorities while ensuring continuity of high-quality ABA services.
Operations & Administrative Support
- Assist with scheduling, staff coordination, and day-to-day clinic operations.
- Support office management and administrative functions.
- Assist with onboarding and orientation of new staff.
- Help maintain clinical resources, materials, and program organization.
- Prepare and maintain accurate and timely clinical and administrative documentation.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and other operational projects as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience providing ABA services to children and youth with autism and other developmental disabilities.
- Demonstrated experience mentoring, supervising, or supporting ABA staff is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis, Psychology, Education, Child and Youth Care, or a related field is required. A Master's degree is considered an asset.
- Registration as a Behaviour Analyst with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO), Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) certification, or eligibility and interest in pursuing registration is considered an asset but is not required.
- Strong knowledge and application of Applied Behaviour Analysis and evidence-based teaching strategies.
- Experience with Verbal Behaviour programming.
- Experience administering assessments such as the VBMAPP, ABLLS-R, AFLS, Functional Behaviour Assessments, or similar assessment tools.
- Experience with PECS and other augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems is considered an asset.
- Excellent organizational, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong clinical judgement, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize competing responsibilities, work independently, and adapt to changing clinical and operational needs.
- Current Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.

Compensation
