We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Level II Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will have a desire to learn and enjoy having a few different roles within the dental practice. This position requires a blend of clinical expertise and excellent interpersonal skills. You will be part of our restorative & interceptive orthodontic programs.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Abeldent
- Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness in the treatment area according to infection control protocols.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently.
- Support pediatric patients with a gentle approach to create a comfortable experience.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, with knowledge of dental assisting procedures.
- Experience working in pediatrics is highly desirable.
- Experience working in orthodontics is highly desirable.
- Experience with general anesthesia highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using dental practice management software such as Abeldent highly desirable.
- Understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry is crucial.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on patient interaction and education.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism.
