Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Cafe Supervisor to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, managing inventory, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for guests. The Cafe Supervisor will play a key role in ensuring smooth operations, high-quality food preparation, and a positive team environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily cafe operations, including food preparation, serving, and cleaning procedures
- Lead and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer service
- Oversee food handling and safety compliance in accordance with health regulations
- Manage POS transactions using Micros POS or similar systems, including cash handling and register reconciliation
- Coordinate staff schedules, interviewing, hiring, and training new team members
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders to ensure adequate stock of supplies and ingredients
- Ensure adherence to food safety standards and proper kitchen hygiene practices
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally to enhance guest satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe area, including kitchen and dining spaces
- Collaborate with management on menu planning, promotional activities, and operational improvements
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience in food service or restaurant management roles
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food industry standards
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures
- Previous hospitality or hotel experience is a plus
- Barista experience is desirable but not required
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
- Ability to oversee restaurant operations efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
