Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Music for Young Children Teacher to inspire a love of music and foster early childhood development through engaging musical activities. Responsibilities
- Deliver age-appropriate curriculum as set by Music For Young Children https://myc.com
- Lead lively group activities that incorporate singing, dancing, instrument playing, and movement to develop motor skills and musical understanding
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and self-expression
- Support children's social-emotional growth through collaborative musical projects and group interactions
- Maintain a safe, clean classroom environment with organized musical instruments and teaching materials
- Collaborate with parents and caregivers to share progress updates and suggest ways to reinforce musical learning at home
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, especially in early childhood education
- Minimum two years piano teaching experience
- Level 8 RCM Piano and Theory
- Certified Music for Young Children Educator, or willing to train for the position
- Classroom experience demonstrating patience, creativity, and effective communication skills
- Passion for nurturing children's growth through music-based activities and fostering a joyful learning environment
