The Opportunity
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Manager, Membership & Events will be responsible for:
- Managing BOMA’s member database and coordinating efforts pertaining to membership growth and retention;
- Planning and delivering BOMA’s membership events, including monthly luncheons, educational seminars, The Building Conference (annual) and various special events, in collaboration with fellow BOMA staff and industry partners;
- Providing support and information to promote the association’s education program and BOMA’s annual Awards of Excellence program;
- Producing and writing content for BOMA publications and newsletters;
- Supporting BOMA’s volunteer committees as needed, and serving as staff liaison for BOMA’s Young Professionals Committee
The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in commerce, marketing, or business administration, and will be required to work independently to meet various deadlines. An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.
Strong organizational, interpersonal and written communication skills, with excellent attention to detail are essential. High proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, and Outlook) is required; understanding of QuickBooks is considered an asset.
Pay: $26.00-$32.00 per hour
