The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Marketing and Events Coordinator who will play a key role in supporting the marketing team by focusing on swag management and event coordination. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys creative projects, and has a passion for delivering memorable brand experiences.
What You’ll Be Doing

Assist in the planning, organization, and execution of company events, including trade shows, conferences, and internal gatherings.

Manage swag inventory—source, order, and distribute branded merchandise for events and marketing campaigns.

Collaborate with vendors to ensure quality and timely delivery of promotional items.

Coordinate logistics, set-up, and breakdown for events, ensuring seamless execution.

Work closely with cross-functional teams to align swag and event strategies with overall marketing goals.

Track and report on swag usage and event outcomes to identify areas for improvement.

Assist with management of social media - updating various sites, while tracking results as applicable.

Development and coordination of marketing communications.

Supporting Distribution Manager with distribution needs (design and creation of materials, promotional items, etc.).

Maintain the company website, which includes keeping the information on the site up-to-date, reviewing and updating layout, and working with the IT department to build solutions while maintaining security protocols.

Coordinate the translation of various marketing/distribution documents to French.

Other administrative and operational tasks as needed.
Who You Are
You are a highly organized and creative marketing professional who enjoys bringing ideas to life through events, branded materials, and engaging communications. You thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment and take pride in delivering seamless event experiences and impactful brand moments. Detail‑oriented and proactive, you’re comfortable managing multiple priorities, working cross‑functionally, and rolling up your sleeves to support a wide range of marketing and operational initiatives.
You bring:

1+ years of experience in marketing, event planning, and communications

A bachelor’s or college degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field

Experience with digital content editing and marketing, including social media.

Experience with event planning and management, including tradeshows and conferences.

Experience supporting a variety of business lines.

Proven artistic and creative skills to ensure marketing materials stand out and convey the right message.

Positive, can-do attitude and enjoys a collaborative environment.

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines and drive results.

Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

High level of organizational skills and attention to detail is a must.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle ambiguity.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook); experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) or Canva

Familiarity with Salesforce or other similar CRM systems

Experience supporting content updates across SharePoint (or similar intranet platforms) and WordPress (or similar CMS), with the ability to upload, organize, and maintain internal resources and website content

Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English required, fluency in French preferred.

Previous insurance experience is a definite asset.

Graphic design knowledge/experience is an asset.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is (50,000-60,000). Compensation may vary for roles in other regions to reflect local market conditions and currency differences. At Tokio Marine Canada, our salary ranges are designed to reflect the skills, experience, and responsibilities required for each role while providing room for growth. For experienced professionals, offers are typically positioned near the midpoint of the range. The upper end of the range is reserved for individuals who consistently deliver exceptional performance and impact. Candidates who are newer to the role may start below the midpoint, with opportunities to progress as they develop. Final offer decisions take into account factors such as location, relevant experience, and individual skill set.

We work in a hybrid model, and you should expect to split your time between working in the office and working remotely, with flexibility based on the role and the business needs. We currently have an office in downtown Toronto and will eventually be establishing offices in other provinces. Should you currently work in a province where we do not have an office, you will remain remote until such time as we do establish an office.
