Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Summer Tutors who can drive to students home and to support students in their academic growth during the summer months. This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on students’ learning experiences while developing your teaching skills. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education, strong communication skills, and experience working with children. Tutors will work in a supportive environment, helping students improve their understanding of key subjects and fostering confidence in their abilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions in various subjects based on student needs.
- Must be able to tutor grades 1-8 Math English.
- Must HAVE A CAR AND DRIVE
- DRIVE TO OAKVILLE AND BURLINGTON
- Must have finished all education in Canada.
- Develop engaging lesson plans tailored to individual learning styles and academic levels.
- Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment to motivate students.
- Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and program coordinators regarding student progress and needs.
- Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and student achievements.
- Support students in building study skills, organization, and confidence to succeed academically.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in tutoring or teaching is preferred.
- Must be able to have own vehicle and drive to students homes
- Must be able to drive to Oakville and Burlington
- Must be able to tutor grades 1-8 in math and English
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain concepts clearly.
- Experience working with children or in classroom settings is highly desirable.
- Passion for education and helping students succeed academically.
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs.
- Availability during summer months, with flexible scheduling options preferred.

Pay: $23.00-$27.00 per hour
