Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to join our team, working alternate weekends from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM. This role is vital in supporting the nutritional needs of residents in retirement settings. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and providing excellent customer care, ensuring that meal preparation, safety, and sanitation standards are consistently met. Responsibilities
- Serve meals to residents with professionalism and courtesy, maintaining a friendly and respectful attitude
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas, following proper food handling procedures
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking supplies and rotating stock as needed
- Follow all food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Support the kitchen team in cleaning duties, including dishwashing, surface sanitation, and equipment maintenance
- Adhere to time management practices to ensure meals are served promptly during scheduled hours
Requirements
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospital, or food industry settings is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and food safety standards
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with residents and staff
- Experience with food handling, sanitation, and maintaining a clean work environment
- Ability to manage time effectively to meet meal schedules and cleanliness standards
- Basic kitchen experience including serving and meal presentation skills
- Reliable transportation for alternate weekend shifts from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Pay: $19.10 per hour
