We are a small, full-service local construction company operating in the Vancouver Lower Mainland, building custom homes primarily in North & West Vancouver.

Job Overview of Construction Manager
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Manager to provide construction expertise and manage all project activities, from inception to completion. The Construction Manager will work collaboratively with the Project Manager & Project Coordinator in compliance with all relevant Company policies, procedures and contracts, while maintaining our high quality standards.
The ideal candidate must have 8+ years of experience, proven leadership abilities, and strong computer proficiency with construction software.
Job Duties of Construction Manager
- Assist Project Manager with pre-construction, project planning and estimating.
- Oversee on-site construction teams to successful completion of projects, to the client's satisfaction.
- Schedule and manage all Sub-Contractors, Professionals, and project inspections.
- Monitor & manage construction budgets, schedules, and internal processes and procedures.
- Full Team Accountability; manage team meetings, work schedules, assign tasks, approve hours, and provide employee feedback and reviews for all team members under your supervision.
- Be prepared to build strong relationships with your team-members, and all associated professionals. This will include mentoring designated team members for continual growth, implementation of processes/procedures and safety standards, and leading team and management meetings.
Authority of the Construction Manager
- Will make concise & calculated decisions to successfully complete your role without compromising our company values.
- Will make financial decisions outlined in project charter or directed by PM that align with project budgets, including changes to SOW/budget that have been approved by client. Any major company financial overheads to be approved by President.
- Will manage and control all communications within your construction team, sub-contractors & professionals.
- Has authority over Crave Homes construction team assigned to your project and also can warn/write up all workers for safety violations. Any major issues regarding Crave Homes policies to be brought up with PM or President.
- Will assist and provide feedback on all company hiring and firing.
- Has authority to purchase all job material/sub-contractors that align with budget unless outlined in Project Charter.
Requirements for the Construction Manager
- Proven 8+ years of experience as a Construction Manager, or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools. Experience in the use of JobTread is a bonus.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of project financials; including budgets, project charters and estimating.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to perform on-site inspections frequently and ensure compliance with industry and company quality standards.

Experience:
- Construction Supervising & Leadership: 8 years (required)
- working with JobTread or Buildertrend: 1 year (preferred)
- Carpentry in residential construction/renovations: 8 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Driver's Licence and own vehicle (required)
