We are currently seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter to join our team and help lead projects from start to finish.
Position Summary
The Lead Carpenter will be responsible for overseeing carpentry work on construction projects, supervising crew members, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality. The ideal candidate is a skilled tradesperson with strong leadership abilities and a commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise carpentry crews on residential and commercial projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.
- Coordinate daily tasks and ensure projects stay on schedule.
- Perform all aspects of carpentry, including framing, finishing, renovations, and installations.
- Maintain quality control and ensure workmanship meets company standards.
- Enforce safety policies and promote a safe work environment.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, clients, and team members.
- Monitor materials, tools, and equipment requirements.
- Train and mentor apprentices and junior carpenters.
Qualifications
- Red Seal Carpenter certification preferred but not required.
- Minimum 5 years of carpentry experience.
- Experience leading crews and managing job sites.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
