Job Vacancy – Back Up Q.A. Lead Hand - Evisceration
The Q.A. Lead Hand ensures that product quality and food safety is maintained. This position requires data to be accurately entered into Agyle through a handheld device. The Lead Hand will adhere to health and safety, food safety and organizational standards. The Lead Hand will report directly to the Department Supervisor.
Job Duties:
- Perform CDS, DDS, ES, and presentation testing at selected times and keep a log of results.
- Retests must be performed as required.
- Perform a salvage product inspection each hour.
- Monitor off-line reprocessing once every half shift.
- Complete a quality report on each lot of birds received.
- Record the quality defects for each lot of birds received.
- Record daily condemnations/rejections for each grower.
- Wash hands frequently when performing tests.
- Communicate with Quality Assurance Technologist.
- Work effectively as part of a team to ensure productivity and efficiency, reporting any issues to the applicable Supervisor.
- Participate in educational and training opportunities applicable to the position.
Requirements:
- Previous Eden Valley Poultry production/sanitation experience.
- Ability to operate various types of machinery.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate logically ordered objectives.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Ability to work as a team.
