Shop Labour – Aluminum Finisher
Full-time/Seasonal
Monday to Friday
Starting at $22/hour+ depending on experience
Position
The Shop Labourer is an entry level position is best suited for an individual looking to gain experience in a general labour Industry:
Reporting to the company’s Shop Supervisors, the Shop Labourer will be responsible for but not limited to:
· Preparing in-house manufactured aluminum products for powder-coating
o Grinding
o Sanding
o Washing with Hydrofluoric agent
o Pressure Washing
· Drilling
· Cutting
· Read & Interpret shop drawings
· Assembling products
· Assist loading and unloading materials such as glass & aluminum
· Overhead Gantry operations
· Forklift operations
· Loading and unloading materials
· General shop cleanup
· Applying powder coating finish
· Cleaning spray booth
· Oven operations
· General assistance in shop
· Assist and provide support to team members in all other departments
Training will be provided
Skills and Attributes
· Positive attitude and mindset
· Ability to work both as a team player and individually
· Physically fit and able to perform manual labour
· Ability to lift up to 40lbs repetitively
· Strong communication skills
· Safety oriented
Qualifications
· Valid Drivers License
· Experience with Power Tools
· Construction experience considered an asset
