We are a tight-knit, collaborative team of 10 who value efficiency and precision. We are looking for a reliable Bookkeeper to manage our daily financial transactions and keep our books in order.
Job Summary
We are seeking an organized Bookkeeper to handle our day-to-day financial data entry. In this role, you will work directly under and provide vital assistance to our current Accounting Administrator and Financial Controller. You will be responsible for full-cycle data entry, managing accounts payable and receivable, and performing routine bank reconciliations. Key Responsibilities
- Daily Accounting: Manage day-to-day transaction entry and bookkeeping exclusively using QuickBooks.
- AP/AR Management: Process accounts payable (invoices, vendor payments) and accounts receivable (client billing) efficiently.
- Reconciliations: Perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure data accuracy.
- Record Keeping: Maintain organized digital and physical files of all financial documents (receipts, invoices, statements).
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Minimum of a recognized Accounting or Bookkeeping Certificate/Diploma (e.g., SAIT, Bow Valley College, or equivalent Alberta post-secondary credential).
- Software: Strong proficiency and hands-on experience with QuickBooks is required.
- Experience especially in the construction industry (handling trades, lien holdbacks, etc.) is a major asset.
- Attributes: High attention to detail, highly organized, and able to work independently within our team of 10.
