Accountant
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our growing manufacturing organization.
CPA students and recent accounting graduates with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, this role provides hands-on experience in:
- Full-cycle accounting
- Payroll administration
- Month-end close activities
- Job costing and project accounting
- Financial reporting and analysis

Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
- Perform three-way matching of invoices and purchase orders
- Process supplier invoices in Sage 50
- Reconcile vendor statements
- Prepare EFT and cheque payments
- Complete month-end AP reconciliations between subledger and general ledger
Accounts Receivable
- Create customer orders and invoices
- Apply customer payments
- Assist with collections and account follow-up
- Maintain accurate customer records
Payroll and Labour Administration
- Review employee time records and attendance
- Track paid and unpaid time off
- Assist with payroll processing and reporting
- Create and maintain job records in both accounting and time management systems
Job Costing and Financial Reporting
- Create and maintain jobs within Sage 50
- Apply and monitor job budgets
- Work closely with Sales and Engineering departments
- Assist with month-end close activities
- Prepare accounting schedules and reports
- Support financial reporting and analysis
- Assist with implementing accounting policies and maintaining compliance
General Responsibilities

- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Manufacturing accounting experience considered an asset
- Experience with Sage 50 Canadian Edition considered an asset
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, filtering, sorting, and pivot tables
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00-$32.00 per hour
