Position Summary
Drive profitable growth for Nestlé Health Science by leading national contract execution across Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs) and Long-Term Care (LTC) chains, optimizing value through strategic partnerships, pricing, and portfolio management across a significant book of Medical Nutrition business in Canada. Note: this position is an existing vacancy.
A day in the life of a National Account Manager – GPO + Long-Term Care Chains:
Lead execution of national contract strategy across GPOs and LTC chains.- Collaborate on strategic choices to drive profitable growth through value-based pricing, portfolio optimization, and contract negotiation
- Build and maintain senior-level relationships with GPOs, LTC chains, distributors, and key stakeholders.
- Influence external stakeholders to lead and define new and unique opportunities for value creation
- Effectively communicate value to multiple external stakeholders and how it impacts their priority(s): hospital member(s), GPO and supplier(s).
- Align internal cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance) to deliver on account strategies
- Own executional excellence of contracts, including implementation, compliance, and performance tracking
- Lead development contract plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives
- Monitor and manage risks and opportunities across the contracted business
- Contribute to national strategy development and continuous improvement initiatives
Accountabilities
Achievement of national sales and profitability targets for GPO and LTC chain accounts- Delivery of negotiated contract outcomes including volume, margin, and strategic objectives
- Effective implementation of contract lifecycle from planning through execution
- Optimization of national contracted business base and value creation
- Accurate forecasting and performance tracking
Key Processes Ownership
End-to-end contract lifecycle management (planning, bidding, negotiation, execution, validation)- RFP strategy development and submission
- Implementation of standardized processes for contract governance
- Post-contract review and performance validation
What will make you successful?
University degree in Business; a background in Health Sciences is considered an asset.- Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze information and data to make sound business recommendations and decisions.
- Proven experience leading, coaching, and developing teams in a management capacity.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.v
- Proven track record of delivering against individual targets and leading a team towards strong performance.
- Ability to priortize and effectively execute on strategic priorities
- Solid understanding of the healthcare industry, including business and procurement processes within healthcare institutions, GPOs, distributors, and wholesalers.
- Creative mindset, to develop 'out of the box' solutions delivering mutual benefit to stakeholders involved.
- Ability to influence and negotiate to deliver optimal business outcomes.
- Ability to develop business relationships with key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaborately with cross functional teams.
- Polished professional having excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Bilingualism in English and French is preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory.

Compensation Range: $98,000 – $123,000 CAD + Bonus Eligibility
