Job Description
Maple Air Heating & Cooling is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician (Independent Contractor) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills and be capable of servicing a wide range of residential and commercial HVAC equipment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC equipment.
- Service and maintain furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductless mini-split systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance and system inspections.
- Identify equipment issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Complete service reports and communicate findings clearly to customers and office staff.
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
Requirements
- Valid G2 Gas Technician License (G1 considered an asset).
- ODP Certification.
- Proven experience in HVAC service, troubleshooting, and diagnostics.
- Strong knowledge of
- Furnaces
- Air conditioners
- Heat pumps
- Ductless mini-split systems
- Air handlers and related HVAC equipment
- Ability to work independently and manage service calls efficiently.
- reliable work truck with all required tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Carrier, Lennox, Goodman, Trane, York, and other major HVAC brands.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Compensation
- Competitive contract rates based on experience and qualifications.
- Consistent service call volume throughout the year.
- Ability to work on weekdays, long hours, and weekends.
Pay: $60,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
