Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee and food service, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing beverages, serving customers, and maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere. Previous experience in the food industry, particularly as a barista, is essential to ensure smooth operations and exceptional customer experiences.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and consistency
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling food items and maintaining food safety standards
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing inquiries promptly
- Manage cash register operations, including cashiering and basic math calculations for transactions
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and dining areas in compliance with food safety regulations
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
- Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies as needed
- Uphold high standards of food safety and sanitation throughout all duties
Experience
- Prior barista experience in a fast-paced food industry environment is required
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is preferred
- Proven ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Experience with serving, food preparation, and food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper hygiene practices
