Description:
Smugglers Trail Caskworks is an award winning brewery located In North Langley. We are looking for a Full time Delivery driver. You will report to the Head Brewer and work closely with logistics as well as sales team to build orders, coordinate inventory and routes while distributing our product.
As Delivery Driver/ Brewery Assistant, your duties will include, but will not be limited to:
- Safely and timely deliver product to our multiple LRS and draft accounts.
- Picking and Packing orders in our warehouse and on site cooler.
- Operates forklift, pallet jacks and other equipment for which trained and certified
- Unload/Load and palletize products to and from warehouse storage areas and trucks
- Adherence to all health and safety protocols, including use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and following Standard Operation Procedures
- Accurate record keeping including, but not limited to: mileage, number of stops (and kegs/cases) per shift, invoices, COD orders, keg deposit returns.
- Some Cooler / Inventory Movement and Management
- Product display and product shelf life oversight
- Picking up orders from suppliers
- Assisting our Head Brewer with general brewery duties when needed
- Assist our sales team with general distribution duties
- Customer care when dealing with LRS managers and Draft accounts
- Mapping your route daily for peak efficiency
Requirements:
- Valid class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record
- Previous experience as a delivery driver
- Ability to operate a 3 ton truck
- Ability to operate pallet jacks, forklifts, or other warehouse equipment
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Organized, clean and reliable
- Physically capable of lifting, bending, and moving throughout the day
- Great attitude and work ethic and the ability to work alone
- Must be flexible and adaptable as production and distribution schedules can alter day-to-day, overtime available
- Be able to work with minimal supervision, stay on track with timing of deliveries, while projecting our Brewery values as an ambassador
- Have a knack for customer service
- Dress appropriately and conduct your self as a representative of the brewery
Physical Demands
Ability to repetitively lift up to 160lbs (kegs), bend and reach in repetitive motion while loading/unloading. Must be able to lift, load, unload, and move products, and must be able to twist, turn, crouch, stoop, and/or squat repeatedly throughout the day. Ability to work in both ambient and freezer temperature areas of the warehouse.
