Job Description
We are looking for an experienced, Line Cook to join our team. The hours are reasonable, and the team is passionate about food, hardworking, fun and very welcoming.
You will be responsible for setting up the prep station, stocking inventory, and maintaining sanitation standards. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and multi-tasking skills. You must be willing to roll up your sleeves and help out the kitchen team wherever is needed and be reliable for their scheduled shifts.
Responsibilities
- Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
- Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
- Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.
- Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift.
- Performs inventory checks and completes food storage logs.
Requirements
- Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line cook, restaurant cook or prep Cook
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Accuracy, consistency, and speed in executing assigned tasks
- In depth knowledge of industry’s best practices
- Self-motivated
- High energy Level
- Aptitude for multi-tasking and punctuality

Experience:
- Cooking: 2 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
