About the Position
We are currently seeking a Marketing Brand Manager who will work to enhance the Portfolio by actively developing existing products and launching new products in conjunction with the Global Franchise and Regional teams in a multi-channel environment.
At a High Level in this role you will be responsible for:
- Marketing programs for companion animal vet specific products such as Douxo and Amodip
- Marketing programs which follow strict opioid regulations for products such as Vetergesic
- Marketing programs which require working with our other Product Managers to ensure an omni-channel approach in products such as Feliway and Adaptil
Duties and Responsibilities
Collecting and Analyzing Market Data/Generating Market Insights
- The Brand Manager needs to:
- Deliver, and present, ad-hoc reports and propose business opportunities as a result of the specific market needs identified.
- Collaborate with local business unit and Corporate team members, in order to work on improving product market positioning and performance.
Providing Strategic Direction
- Develop and execute Synthesis Operational Marketing Plans (SOMPs) for each product range that are aligned to the Global Franchise Team strategies and regional market trends. Key elements to marketing plans include:
- Promotional campaigns that communicate product value propositions, educate customers and build brand awareness (advertising, conference activities, KOL events, media tours/events)
- Promotional offers for customers that drive product adoption and loyalty (purchasing incentives, loyalty programs, sampling)
- Regularly communicate with the Marketing Director and the Business Unit Manager, in order to validate Marketing Plans and review progress.
- Develop compelling and effective marketing and selling tools that deliver clear, differentiating brand messages. Provide specific direction to the sales team on how to best use the tools to achieve goals, including detailers, educational brochures, staff training tools and promotional flyers. Maintain a close connection to veterinary sales, veterinary services, regulatory and retail business team members. Provide support with frequent communication and business updates, be responsive to their needs and provide the tools needed for them to drive performance.
- Assist the Business Unit Manager and Supply Manager toestablish and maintain product forecast. Adjust short-term objectives or make changes to plans as needed, in order to maintain product forecasting.
- Cascade new product launch details and actions to the team, as communicated during regular Franchise meetings.
Operational Management
- Work with external agency partnersProvide support with frequent communications and business updates to the local Range team.
- Collaborate with veterinary and / or retail sales and key account teams and contribute to customer plans and sales execution.
- Maintain a close connection to other members of the applicable Business Unit. Provide support with frequent communication and business updates, be responsive to their needs and provide the tools needed for them to execute Ceva’s plans.
- Build connections and relationships across the entire Ceva organization, both within the North American Zone and with colleagues in global headquarters. Work with the Global Marketing team to develop line extensions and product positioning, and create plans for local execution in the U.S. Work collaboratively with other business channels to ensure alignment. Provide support to the commercial team in Canada as needed.
- Work with the Business Unit Veterinarian to build relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, both individuals and organizations that impact Ceva’s opportunity for growth and position as a market leader
Resources Management and Planning
- Support the Sales- and Key Account teams in negotiations with Customers, when they are responding to requests for proposals or through the creation of programs that adhere the customer to the product ranges.
- Work closely with the Supply Chain, Finance and Customer Relationship Management teams, in order to provide, and receive, reliable local business data.
Impact and Influence: Creating a High Level of Confidence in the Function’s Deliverables
- Ensure that the product’s Strategy fits the market, by communicating and collaborating with the Sales- and Key Account teams on the use of Marketing tools to achieve goals.
- Work with the local Veterinary Services teams and the Digital Marketing teams, in order to align them with the product’s Strategy.
About You
- You have a post-secondary education in marketing or a related field
- You have a minimum of 5years of Marketing ideally in animal health or retail
- You have deminstrated interpersonal skills
- You have an entrepreneuial mindset
- You are organized and can balance multiple projects/events at the same time
- You are a problem solver and can find solutions in complexity
- You have experience interacting with customers as well as vendors and gaining alignment
- You have excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- You are a team player who is flexible to changing business priorities
- Ideally, you are bilingual in English and French
