We are seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman (PM shift) to support large-scale construction projects, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked in data centers.
About the Role:
The Electrical Foreman (PM shift) is responsible for overseeing daily on-site electrical construction activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and industry standards. This role coordinates field staff, subcontractors, and materials while maintaining clear communication with project management to support schedules, quality control, and successful project delivery.
**This position begins with a late afternoon start and includes a night shift premium, with the potential for future transition to a day shift. This position will also be located in Rocky View County**
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, supervise, and mentor field electricians and subcontractors.
- Coordinate daily on-site activities and sequence work hall-by-hall to maintain schedule alignment and prevent trade conflicts.
- Oversee installation of electrical systems, equipment, and distribution components, identifying routing or clearance issues early in the review process.
- Review drawings, specifications, change directives, and owner-supplied equipment interfaces to ensure constructability and alignment with project requirements.
- Ensure all work complies with electrical codes, safety regulations, and project specifications; conduct safety meetings and enforce company policies
- Support material planning, procurement, equipment tracking, and verification of delivered materials.
- Coordinate and verify the work of sub-subcontractors within assigned areas.
- Collaborate with project managers and foremen to resolve field issues and maintain project progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation including daily reports, manpower tracking, and progress updates, using cloud-based software for logs, issues, and redlines.
- Participate in pre-functional testing, commissioning activities, and turnover documentation.
- Ensure high-quality execution in mission-critical environments; data center experience is considered a strong asset.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of electrical construction experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or Foreman role.
- Experience with cloud-based construction software and various office software programs is an asset
- Proven ability to lead crews, coordinate trades, maintain site productivity and lead morning scrums
- Journeyperson Electrician certification (or equivalent) required.
- Experience with large commercial or industrial projects; data center experience strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of electrical distribution, grounding, equipment installation, and commissioning workflows.
- Solid understanding of CEC and relevant electrical standards.
