Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their shopping experience
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
- Assist customers with product inquiries, upselling opportunities, and product demos to maximize sales potential
- Maintain store merchandising standards by organizing displays, stocking shelves, and ensuring products are well-presented
- Handle cash and perform cashiering duties with accuracy and attention to detail
- Support inventory management through stocking, inventory counts, and stock replenishment activities
- Demonstrate strong communication skills by effectively engaging with bilingual customers and providing clear information about products and services
Experience
- Prior retail sales or cashiering experience preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
- Supervising experience is a plus, especially in leading small teams or guiding new staff members
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math concepts such as discounts and pricing calculations
- Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail merchandising is advantageous
- Excellent phone etiquette skills for handling customer inquiries over the phone professionally.
