Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Accountant to join our family owned company. In this vital role, you will manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, ensure accurate financial record-keeping, and support the overall accounting functions of our organization. Duties
- Daily Operations: Post daily cash sheets.
- Accounts Payable:
- Manage the receiving of goods.
- Match packing slips with invoices
- Enter invoices into the system and check pricing
- Handle vendor payments and reconciliations.
- Manage credit card payments and related spreadsheets.
- Accounts Receivable:
- Manage invoices, track payments, and handle collections.
- Issue monthly statements.
- Process credit approvals for new customers.
- Payroll:
- Maintain payroll records.
- Calculate hours and process payroll.
- Handle remittances for benefits and RRSP.
- Tax Remittances:
- Manage monthly PST and GST remittances.
- Manage quarterly WCB remittances.
- Banking:
- Deposits
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
- Post cheques to customer accounts.
- General Ledger Maintenance:
- Prepare and post journal entries.
- Manage month-end closing processes.
- Perform account reconciliations.
- Year-End Preparation:
- Ensure all year-end documentation is complete and ready for external accountants.
- Assist accountants with any inquiries regarding the year's transactions.
Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year

Experience:
