Guardium Group of Companies, a multi-division organization based in Edmonton, Alberta, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our growing team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting day-to-day accounting operations, and ensuring the overall financial health of the organization. This role requires strong experience with QuickBooks and payroll processing, along with a solid understanding of bookkeeping principles.
The Bookkeeper will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, preparing reports, and supporting internal operations across multiple divisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee full-cycle bookkeeping using QuickBooks (Online and/or Desktop)
- Manage accounts payable and receivable with strong attention to detail and timeliness
- Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations with accuracy
- Process and manage payroll, including remittances and reporting
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
- Monitor and track expenses against budgets across divisions
- Ensure compliance with CRA regulations, including GST filings and payroll obligations
- Identify discrepancies, inefficiencies, and areas for financial improvement
- Maintain organized and audit-ready financial records
- Collaborate with external accountants and support year-end processes
Core Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks
- Strong experience with payroll processing and compliance
- Solid understanding of Canadian accounting principles and CRA requirements
- Proven ability to manage multiple accounts or business units
- High level of accuracy, accountability, and attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines without supervision
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Accounting, Finance, or Bookkeeping
- Experience in a multi-division or service-based organization
- Familiarity with internal controls, budgeting, and financial reporting processes
- Experience supporting audits and year-end financial preparation

Job Details
- Pay: $20 – $28 per hour (based on experience)
- Expected Hours: 40hrs per week
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, Some Weekends
- Location: Edmonton, AB (in person)
