The Mailroom Clerk is responsible for the daily collection, sorting, distribution, and processing of incoming and outgoing mail, as well as preparing customer correspondence and billing documents for mailing. This position requires the use of a company vehicle to transport mail between locations and ensure timely delivery of all mail-related services.
Mail Collection and Distribution
- Pick up and deliver incoming and outgoing mail from Canada Post on a daily basis using a company vehicle.
- Sort incoming mail and distribute it to the appropriate departments and employees each morning.
- Collect outgoing mail from various departments each afternoon.
- Transport incoming and outgoing mail to and from the Water Treatment Plant on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays using a company vehicle.
- Perform internal mail distribution throughout the organization.
Printing and Mail Processing
- Print bills, credit letters, service letters, commodity reports, and other correspondence daily.
- Prepare and insert bills, letters, and other documents into envelopes for mailing.
- Ensure all mail is processed accurately and efficiently.
Record Keeping
- Track daily mail volumes, including indicia envelopes.
- Complete and submit Statements of Mailing through the Canada Post online portal.
- Maintain accurate records related to mail processing and distribution.
General Duties
- Operate company vehicles safely and in accordance with company policies.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer and company information.
- Perform other related duties and administrative tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to operate a company vehicle safely.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet daily deadlines.
- Basic computer skills and ability to use web-based applications.
- Ability to lift and carry mail bins, boxes, and packages as required.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
Pay: $17.60 per hour
Licence/Certification:
