Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Heavy Duty Technician to join our team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining motorcoaches/buses. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with automotives along with strong mechanical and electrical knowledge. Prior dealership experience is a plus. The Heavy Duty Technician will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of equipment used for daily operation of motorcoach/buses
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on motorcoach/buses
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
- Conduct welding, assembly, and disassembly of components using hand tools and power tools
- Operate heavy equipment for testing purposes after repairs to ensure proper functioning
- Utilize automotive repair skills for troubleshooting engine and transmission problems
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs performed
- Assist in the installation of new equipment or upgrades to existing machinery
- Follow safety protocols during all maintenance activities to ensure a safe work environment
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair findings clearly and efficiently
Qualifications
- Proven experience as Automotive Technician or Mechanic with knowledge or willingness to learn about motorcoach/bus maintenance
- Dealership experience preferred but not required
- Hands-on experience with Motorcoach/buses or willingness to be trained
- Strong welding skills and familiarity with schematics for electrical or mechanical systems is preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate heavy equipment effectively
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Mechanical knowledge combined with electrical expertise is highly desirable
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments
- Strong communication skills for effective customer interaction and reporting

Pay: $27.00-$30.00 per hour
