Job Overview
Kinder Kuts is seeking a friendly, organized, and energetic Salon Assistant to support our stylists and help create a fun, welcoming experience for children and their families. The ideal candidate enjoys working with kids, has excellent customer service skills, and is comfortable handling front desk responsibilities while assisting with daily salon operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet clients and families in a warm, professional, and friendly manner.
- Answer phone calls and respond to emails promptly and professionally.
- Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments using Vagaro.
- Process client payments and maintain accurate transaction records.
- Assist stylists with salon operations and client flow throughout the day.
- Clean and sanitize stations, tools, and common areas after haircuts and services.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming salon environment at all times.
- Help prepare workstations and supplies for stylists as needed.
- Monitor waiting areas and ensure clients are comfortable during their visit.
- Support daily opening and closing procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service and help create a positive experience for children and parents.
Qualifications & Skills
- Friendly, patient, and comfortable working with children of all ages.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service and organizational abilities.
- Proficient in Vagaro or able to quickly learn salon management software.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to assist stylists and coworkers as needed.
This position is ideal for a high school student looking to gain valuable customer service, communication, and workplace experience in a fun, family-friendly environment. Flexible scheduling may be available to accommodate school commitments. No salon experience is required—we are happy to train the right candidate who is enthusiastic, responsible, and eager to learn.
Pay: From $17.60 per hour
