The Housekeeper plays a key role in creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for guests by ensuring that all guest rooms, public areas, and facilities are clean, organized, and well-presented. This position requires attention to detail, a positive attitude, and the ability to respond promptly to guest and staff requests.
Your contribution to the team includes:
- Clean and maintain guest cabins, main house, lodge, and staff housing according to established checklists.
- Ensure all service areas are clean, tidy, and safe, including proper disposal of waste.
- Perform additional deep-cleaning tasks as directed.
- Restock room amenities and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies.
- Keep housekeeping trolleys organized and stocked at the end of each shift.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest and staff requests.
- Maintain knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling procedures.
- Report maintenance issues (e.g., light bulbs, fixtures) to the supervisor.
- Clean and sanitize outdoor areas, pavilion, pool, gym, spa, and boats.
- Ensure exterior decks and public spaces meet cleanliness standards.
- Remove trash and glassware from designated areas.
- Work efficiently, maintain a neat appearance, and wear the required uniform.
- Demonstrate teamwork, professionalism, and a positive attitude under pressure.
- Follow all health, safety, and hygiene protocols.
What you need to be successful:
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment and chemicals.
- Knowledge of safe lifting and handling practices.
