Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, a strong understanding of food and beverage preparation, and experience working in the food industry. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks using standard recipes and equipment such as POS systems.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS and cashiering systems, including cash handling and basic math calculations.
- Take customer orders efficiently, ensuring quick service times while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Food preparation and food handling tasks to support the overall operation of the establishment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
- Restock supplies as needed and ensure all equipment is functioning properly.
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns professionally.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
Skills
- Previous Barista experience preferred, with knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and beverage customization.
- Familiarity with POS systems, for efficient order processing and cashiering.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele.
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods effectively without compromising quality or service speed.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and measuring ingredients accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and interact professionally with customers.
MUST HAVE FOOD SAFETY CERTIFICATE AND WHMIS
