Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pipelayer/ helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation and repair of pipelines, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role requires a strong understanding of various tools and equipment used in pipeline construction, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair pipelines for water, sewage, and other utilities.
- Operate heavy equipment such as backhoes and bucket trucks to excavate trenches for pipeline installation.
- Utilize power tools and fusing equipment to assemble pipe sections and fittings.
- Conduct inspections of existing pipelines to identify issues or areas needing repair.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within specifications.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations while working on-site to maintain a safe working environment.
- Perform mechanical tasks related to pipeline installation, including rigging and low voltage electrical work.
Experience
- Proven experience in pipelaying or related construction fields is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate heavy equipment effectively.
- Familiarity with bucket operation, backhoe operation, and other relevant machinery.
- Experience using power tools and fusing techniques is highly desirable.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings related to pipeline projects.
- A valid driver's license is mandatory.
