Weatherford is seeking an accomplished Technical Sales Representative (TSR) specializing in Directional Drilling to drive growth within our Drilling & Evaluation segment. This position requires a strong blend of technical expertise, commercial capability, and the ability to cultivate and sustain strategic customer relationships.
The successful candidate will represent Weatherford’s portfolio of advanced directional drilling technologies, including rotary steerable systems, MWD/LWD services, motors, and drilling optimization solutions. As a primary customer-facing representative, you will deliver technical guidance, performance‑focused solutions, and support operational excellence throughout the life of customer programs.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the complete sales cycle for Directional Drilling services, from opportunity identification through contract execution
Build and maintain strong relationships with drilling engineers, superintendents, operations leaders, and supply chain teams
Evaluate drilling programs and operational challenges to recommend optimal directional drilling solutions
Develop and deliver high‑quality technical presentations, proposals, bids, and post‑well performance reviews
Identify and execute cross‑selling opportunities across Drilling & Evaluation product lines (Wireline, MPD, Drilling Optimization, etc.)
Act as the customer advocate, ensuring alignment between client expectations and internal service delivery
Conduct routine visits to customer offices, rig sites, and operational facilities to reinforce service quality and credibility
Support the creation and execution of strategic account plans, revenue objectives, and margin targets
Contribute to forecasting, budgeting, and tender preparation
Apply value‑based selling approaches to clearly articulate performance, reliability, efficiency, and overall operational value
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a sales role focused on selling Directional Drilling services
Strong technical understanding of drilling operations, BHA design, RSS, MWD/LWD, and directional drilling tools
Proven ability to interpret drilling programs, technical requirements, and operational goals
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑management skills
Legal eligibility to work in Canada (citizen, permanent resident, or valid work authorization)
Self‑motivated, results‑oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
