Currently recruiting for roles in Regina as well as Northeastern Saskatchewan. Both full-time and part-time positions are available. Some roles are based in a senior living environment, working closely with long-term care residents and care teams, while others are in a traditional retail pharmacy setting.
Salary is negotiable depending on the role and your experience.
Responsibilities
- Will advise patients and give them proper directions for taking prescription drugs, supplements, and over-the-counter medications.
- Comply with (and keep informed of) all government standards and regulations applicable to the pharmacy.
- Will follow controlled substance and narcotic protocols in accordance with provincial and federal standards of practice.
- Consult with physicians and medical staff on proper medication dosages and address prescription errors.
- Will follow all opening and closing procedures for the pharmacy.
- Will understand medication ordering and inventory control.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited institution
- Current registration in good standing with the Saskatchewan College of Pharmacy Professionals (SCPP)
- Eligible to practice as a pharmacist in Saskatchewan
- Kroll software experience
- Strong clinical knowledge and patient counseling skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High degree of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail
Preferred:
- Experience in a long-term care or senior living environment (for applicable roles)
- Experience with pharmacy management software
