Overview
Acquisition Oil Corp. (AOC) is a private junior light oil company that is currently looking to fill contract battery and field operating positions located near Swan Hills. AB. The company is focused on full cycle light oil opportunities with a balanced emphasis on water flood expansion, production optimization and lower risk developmental drilling. The company is led by experienced professionals and is partnered with a premier capital provider.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, operate and maintain wells, facilities, pipeline gathering/injection system and associated surface equipment including: pumping units, submersible pumps, injection wells, motors, engines, compressors, pumps, tanks, pressure vessels, etc.
- Accurately conduct daily, weekly and monthly reporting on: well tests, operating pressures / temperatures, well testing, fluid levels, chemical rates, etc.
- Communicate abnormalities and deficiencies, while providing recommendations to improve runtime, lower operating costs and increase production
- Coordinate, perform and document asset integrity tasks including: chemical inhibition, cathodic protection, pigging, isolation valve inspections, overpressure protection, tank inspections, liner vent checks, cathodic protection, ROW inspections, etc.
- Experience with production monitoring and reporting systems including: SCADA, Pump-Off Controllers, PVR, etc.
- Issue safe work permits and oversee third party activities
- Demonstrate and ensure all activities comply with AOC’s Health Environment, Safety and Regulatory standards
Minimum Requirements
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: 5+ years operating oil and gas wells and associated facilities
Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office and PVR
Communication: Must possess excellent communication, teamwork, planning and organizational skills
Certifications: Valid Class 5 driver’s license, WCB, Insurance, Valid Safety Certifications (H2S, First Aid)
Time Management: Self-motivated, disciplined work ethic with a desire to contribute to a fast paced, growth-oriented junior oil company
Independent Contractor with owned truck and tools
Schedule
- 10 hour shift - Wednesday to Wednesday rotation
- On-call when on shift
- Accommodation provided (private, 1-bedroom furnished apartment) in Swan Hills, AB
This role requires candidates to be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and adaptable to fast-paced and physically demanding environments. A background in oil battery and field operations, combined with mechanical aptitude will ensure success in this position.
Pay: From $150,000.00 per year
