Pipelayer position for young civil infrastructure company
Applicant should possess the following skill sets:
Familiar with Civil construction and underground works/ground disturbance
Has minimum 2 years experience as a pipe layer
Can install storm, sanitary and watermain
Is familiar with municipal specifications
Has experience with watermain fittings and restrainers
Is okay completing all tasks of civil construction from labour to grouting, pipe haunching and plate tamping/jumping jack operation
Is familiar working around heavy equipment like excavators dump trucks and backhoes
Has a positive demeaner and works well with young or new workers
Is willing to train other staff and or learn new methods
Understands quality control and how to spot improper works such as fish mouthing, improper bedding
Is looking to start with a young team and become part of the building blocks of a new division
Base wage dependent on qualifications and in-field experience
