Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Locksmith to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining locks, keys, and security hardware for residential, commercial, and industrial properties.
Duties:
- Install, repair, and service various types of locks, including deadbolts, mortise locks, and high-security systems.
- Cut and duplicate keys, rekey locks, and create master key systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve lock and key issues for clients.
- Perform lockout services and emergency entry when needed.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify security risks or faulty hardware.
- Maintain an organized inventory of tools, parts, and key blanks.
- Respond to service calls in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a locksmith or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in using locksmith tools and equipment.
- Strong knowledge of lock mechanisms, key systems, and security hardware.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel to job sites.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Certification in locksmithing or security hardware.
- Experience with safes, keyless entry systems, or electronic locks.
- Knowledge of local security regulations and building codes.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $28.00-$40.00 per hour
